Released in April 2018, Dominaria revisits the plane where many of Magic's earliest stories took place. The expansion explores the lasting influence of ancient conflicts, legendary figures, and powerful artifacts, bringing together characters and locations from across the game's history.
Dominaria introduces Sagas, a new enchantment subtype representing significant events from the plane's past, alongside the Historic mechanic, which rewards players for using legendary cards, artifacts, and Sagas. The set also brings back Kicker and introduces legendary sorceries.
Each booster contains at least one legendary creature, reinforcing the set's emphasis on Magic's established characters and history.
