September Store Update: More Packs, More Perks, and a Giveaway on the Way

September is here, and I wanted to share a few updates on what’s happening at CRG Games. There are several things I’ve been working on behind the scenes, including expanding the store, adding some extra value to orders, and finding more ways to make CRG Games a little different from the typical online card shop.

The Booster Pack Selection Keeps Growing

One of my biggest goals for CRG Games continues to be building a large and varied selection of individual booster packs.

Rather than focusing only on the newest releases, I want the store to be a place where you can browse packs from across different eras of Magic. That means continuing to add older Draft and Set Boosters, newer Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, and sets that may not always be easy to find as individual packs.

Inventory will naturally come and go, especially with older products, but I’ll continue sourcing boxes and replenishing sets whenever I can find them at prices that make sense.

If there’s a particular set you’d like to see added or restocked, feel free to reach out. Customer requests are one of the things I consider when deciding what to hunt for next.

One thing to note is as CRG Games has grown, I’ve been able to increase purchasing to cases more than a few boxes at a time. For you, this means (hopefully) longer times that a particular set will remain in stock. For older sets, finding cases can still be difficult so I’ll add as I can.

A Giveaway Is Coming

I’m also working on a new giveaway.

I’m not quite ready to announce all of the details yet, but I wanted to give everyone an early heads-up that something is in the works.

The goal is to make it worthwhile while keeping participation simple. I’ll share the prize, rules, dates, and everything else once the details are finalized. There’s so many rules around giveaways!

September Promo: Free Bonus Packs With Your Order

I’m adding a new September promo for customers spending $50 or more on an order.

For every $50 you spend (bottom line after discounts), I’ll include one free random booster pack with your order.

Spend $50 and you’ll receive one bonus pack. Spend $100 and you’ll receive two. Spend $150 and you’ll receive three, and so on.

The fun part is that the bonus packs can be pulled from anything currently in stock at CRG Games. They won’t come from a separate pile of low-value promotional packs. The idea is to make opening your shipment a little more interesting because you won’t know exactly what is coming.

You might receive something inexpensive, or you might get something considerably better.

It’s simply another way for me to put some value back into larger orders and make buying directly from CRG Games more rewarding.

This is a manual process on my end so no need to do anything at checkout!

Want Me to Open Your Packs on YouTube? Save 10%

I also want to experiment with incorporating customer orders into the CRG Games YouTube channel.

If you're buying packs and would like me to open them on YouTube instead of shipping them sealed, I’ll offer a 10% discount on the packs being opened. Your cards would then be packaged up and shipped to you after the opening. (Similar to how it works on Whatnot but without the fees and markups)

It gives me an opportunity to create more opening content while giving customers who enjoy watching their packs get cracked a way to save a little money.

About the YouTube Upload Schedule

Speaking of YouTube, I know the video output has been inconsistent.

CRG Games is something I run alongside my regular career, and lately work and travel have taken up more of my time. There are weeks where sitting down, setting everything up, recording, editing, and uploading a video just isn't realistic.

I'd much rather upload something when I have an interesting topic or opening than force out videos simply to maintain an arbitrary schedule. The customer-opening idea above should also give me an opportunity to create more content naturally as CRG Games grows.

So expect videos to continue—just probably not on a perfectly predictable schedule.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CUSTOMER SHIPMENTS TAKE PRIORITY OVER ALL.

The Free Singles Are Getting Restocked Too

If you've ordered from CRG Games before, you may have noticed that I like to throw free Magic singles into orders.

I'm replenishing that supply as well.

These aren't meant to be a major promotion or something added to the price of an order. They're simply a little extra I enjoy including. Sometimes they're useful cards, sometimes they're interesting cards, and sometimes they're just something fun to discover when you open the package.

As I sort through more cards, I'll continue feeding that stash so there are plenty available for upcoming orders. (This includes the big hits too! Looking at you Gleaming Splendor!)

Plenty More to Come

CRG Games continues to be a small operation, and that's something I actually like about it. It gives me the ability to experiment with things like random bonus packs, customer-requested inventory, YouTube openings, free singles, giveaways, and other ideas that would be difficult to implement at a much larger store.

The priorities remain pretty simple: more booster packs, competitive pricing, careful packaging, and a better experience for the people who choose to buy from CRG Games.

Thank you to everyone who has placed an order, returned for another one, watched a video, subscribed, followed the store, or recommended CRG Games to someone else. That support is what allows me to keep expanding the selection and trying new things.

There should be plenty more to talk about as we move through September.
