August 2026 Store Update – Growing the Best Booster Pack Selection Around

Hello everyone!

First, I want to thank everyone for the feedback and support you've been giving me. As a one-person operation, every suggestion helps improve CRG Games, and I truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to reach out.

Email Discount Code Fixed

If you signed up for the newsletter and tried using the recent discount code, you may have noticed it wasn't working. During testing, I accidentally left an expiration date on the code and forgot to remove it before sending the email.

The issue has been corrected, so if you received that email, the code is now active and ready to use. Thanks for your patience!

Expanding the Booster Pack Selection

Throughout August, I'll continue adding new sets and booster types to the store.

By my estimates, beginning with Dragon's Maze, there are now roughly 165 unique Magic: The Gathering booster packs when you include Draft, Set, Play, Collector, Jumpstart, and Epilogue boosters. It's amazing to think just how many different products Wizards has released over the years.

When sourcing inventory, my primary focus remains what I consider the Bronze Age of Magic (Khans of Tarkir through War of the Spark). Supply is still relatively healthy, allowing me to keep prices competitive and inventory available.

The Silver Age (Mirrodin through Theros) has become more difficult to source as sealed product continues disappearing from the open market. Products from the original Innistrad block and earlier are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive, so they'll be added whenever good opportunities arise.

My long-term goal is still to build one of the largest selections of individual booster packs available anywhere.

Sealed Booster Boxes

Many customers have asked about purchasing sealed booster boxes.

Although CRG Games was built around individual booster packs and the drafting experience, and that will always remain our primary focus, I do plan to offer sealed boxes as standalone products in the future.

Until then, if you're looking for a sealed box, feel free to email me before ordering.

As a reminder, if you purchase a full box quantity of booster packs, I will ship a factory-sealed booster box whenever one is available.

Improved Packaging

Over the past couple of months I've been working toward standardizing my shipping materials.

My goal is simple: whenever possible, your order should arrive in a sturdy box that can be reused for storage.

Current standard box sizes include:

  • 5 × 3 × 3 — up to 13 booster packs
  • 5 × 5 × 3 — up to 20 booster packs
  • 7 × 5 × 3 — up to 31 booster packs

Occasionally I'll still use an alternate-sized box or a bubble mailer when it makes the most sense for a particular order.

Looking ahead, I'd also like to transition to recyclable paper packing material. I've always tried to be environmentally conscious, and every little bit helps. We Magic players already generate enough empty booster wrappers so we don't need to add unnecessary plastic waste on top of that.

Chaos Draft Packs Are Coming

One project I'm especially excited about is the upcoming Chaos Draft Pack.

Chaos Draft has always been my favorite way to play Magic. Not because I'm particularly good at it but because every draft feels completely different and creates some unforgettable games.

Each Chaos Draft Pack will include:

  • Three randomly selected booster packs
  • A mix of Draft, Set, and Play boosters
  • Optional random basic lands (1–5)

The optional lands add a fun extra challenge. If you choose to use them, the colors you receive determine the colors you'll draft and build around. Of course, if you'd rather draft normally, simply set the lands aside and enjoy the packs.

The goal is to make Chaos Drafting affordable, accessible, and easy without having to hunt down random packs yourself.

YouTube Plans

I've also been thinking about bringing back booster box openings on YouTube like I did when I first started CRG Games.

One idea I'm considering is giving away all of the cards from each opening for the cost of shipping. Depending on where you live, shipping would typically fall somewhere around $10–15.

I'm still working through the details, but I think it could be a fun way to give back to the community.

August Promotion: 8% Store Credit

For the entire month of August, every order will earn 8% back as store credit.

A few things to know:

  • Store credit never expires.
  • It can be used whenever you're ready.
  • It stacks with other discounts and loyalty rewards.
  • Credit will be applied while your order is being fulfilled.

It's my way of saying thank you to everyone who continues supporting the store.

Thank You

As CRG Games enters its fourth year, I want to sincerely thank every customer who has placed an order, shared the store with friends, or simply stopped by to browse.

The goal has always been to build the best place to shop for sealed Magic: The Gathering booster packs, and every month we're getting a little closer.

Thanks again for your continued support, and keep an eye out throughout August as even more booster packs and exciting projects are added to the store!
